Occupational Outlook

Explore the Bureau of Labor Statistics through O*NET and the Occupational Employment Statistics to learn about occupations, training, earnings, expected career opportunities and the work environment by state, metropolitan area, and other regional areas.

Informational Interviews

An informational interview is a great way to hear first-hand what it's like to work in a particular career field. You might learn about the education typically needed, the kind of projects/work you'd be doing, and the challenges and excitements of the work environment, among other things.

Looking for someone to interview? Have you considered reaching out to a MCPHS faculty member in that field? We've got a lot of experts in our own community!

Career-Focused Books

The library catalog is a great place to find in-depth information on career paths, job-seeking strategies and more. Use a simple keyword search to locate information on a particular topic. You can also look for specific books by title or for books by an individual author or browse the stacks by call number.

Remember that books are great places to go to understand a topic from beginning to end.
