This guide expands on the topics you've explored in INF: 220

About this Course Guide

This guide supplements the topics, activities and resources of INF 220: Intermediate Research Skills. You'll find examples, demonstrations and in-depth explanations of various search techniques, evaluation perspectives and other resources.

In INF 220 students will build upon the information literacy skills and knowledge from INF 110. Topics include a broader look at types of academic sources (qualitative vs. quantitative, original research articles, systematic reviews, case studies, etc.) and an increased emphasis on understanding citations and how to find the sources cited. Most students complete this course during their second year at MCPHS.
