To find ebooks you can either browse or search. Browsing is the strategy for if you know the subject you want, but don't have a particular book in mind. Searching is for when you know the book title and need to get directly to it.
Try these places:
On December 8, 2025, you will not be able to download whole eBooks in eBook Collection. EBSCO is performing maintenance on their site. You should still be able to read the books online and download chapters. The maintenance is scheduled to start at 7AM (Eastern time). They expect it to take about 5 hours.
On December 14th, you will not be able to access any books in ProQuest eBook Central. The vendor is doing maintenance. They expect it to start at 10PM (Eastern time) and end at 11:49PM (Eastern Time).
ProQuest is also still working to resolve an issue that prevents people from downloading or copying small sections of some of their books.
If you have not yet hit the print/download limit or the copy limit and those buttons do not work for you, try the following steps:
To find a book by title, start at MCPHS Smart Search:
You're can access the book through the MCPHS Library by clicking on Access Options and choosing one of the full text options.
To browse by topic in Smart Search, start at the Library's homepage:
You're now looking at ebooks on nursing that you can access through the MCPHS Library by clicking on Full text.
Tip: If you're seeing an overwhelming number of results, consider limiting your results by date range.
