The City of Boston sends a weekly newsletter with funding opportunities at the local, state, and federal level. Sign up to receive the email. Or, browse the archives for previous announcements.
Greater Worcester Community Foundation
A listing of grants from local non-profits, foundations, and organizations.

Pivot-RP
A database of announcements for grants, fellowships, awards and more; Covers all disciplines; Sponsors from around the world include private foundations, public agencies, national and local governments, corporations, etc. Find other people who are interested in similar topics.

NIH grants site that gives information on funding. Includes information on funding opportunities and NIH policies and procedures. Link to listserv for weekly update of NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts.
National Science Foundation Funding (U S NSF)
Funding home page on National Science Foundation web site. Includes overview of programs and funding opportunities, as well as guides to proposal writing and links to FAQs on grant process.
Prospero
Find ideas for funding sources by searching this database of prospective systematic review protocols. All entries include Funding sources/sponsors. Look for projects in your areas of interest. Created by some of the originators of the Cochrane Collaboration.

Other Sources of Funding

The resources below are not places to find grants. Instead, they are crowdfunding sites. You can receive many contributions from every day people who like your project. Both resources below are geared towards researchers and review proposed projects. You will still need to submit any documentation MCPHS requires before you submit your project.

Experiment.com
A for-profit crowdfunding site for scientists in the United States. Experiment's staff will review project proposals. Posted projects are open for anyone to fund. You must reach your project's fundraising goal to receive any funding. Experiment also charges a small fee. MCPHS will use the same business process as for a grant. You will need to fill out the same documentation.
Indiegogo
A popular general crowdfunding site. Browse projects by category. The site hosts projects for everything from health to creative writing. This fundraising site focuses on tangible products and specific events. MCPHS will use the same business process as for a grant. You will need to fill out the same documentation.
GoFundMe
A popular general crowdfunding site. This crowdfunding site frequently focuses on an individual's personal needs or a charitable organization's work. The site is flexible, though. Some people use it to raise funds for their research projects. MCPHS will use the same business process as for a grant. You will need to fill out the same documentation.
