Helpful information on using MCPHS Library's Interlibrary Loan service

Before You Start

When the library does not have the article or book chapter you want, use the request it. The library can often get it for you through our Interlibrary Loan Service. This service is provided for MCPHS faculty, staff and students only. Submit your request using the link on this page or by using the “Get Full Text” links in our databases.

Communication

Communication concerning problems with requests will be conducted through MCPHS email. It is essential that we have your MCPHS email address for rapid communication. Barring unusual circumstances, all requests are processed within 48 hours. If you are requesting an article, you will only receive an e-mail if there is a problem filling your request.

Delivery

Articles:

Barring unusual circumstances, all articles will be e-mailed to patrons. We receive most articles within three business days. If you have not received either the article that you requested or an e-mail after three business days, contact Sarah Muellers sarah.muellers@mcphs.edu

Charges

We make every effort to borrow materials free of charge, but sometimes there will be a fee to obtain a particular item. Most charges are between $12 $25. Be sure to indicate whether you are willing pay for an article or loan when filling out the request form.
