Global Issues (Gale in Context)
A multimedia database of international viewpoints covering a broad spectrum of global issues, topics, and current events; search hundreds of issues and country portals covering relevant sources for analysis of social, political, military, economic, environmental, health, and cultural issues; Gateway pages include an overview, unique "perspectives" articles written by local experts, reference, periodical, primary source and statistical information; Rich multimedia - including podcasts, video, and interactive graphs - enhance each portal. New York Times (news section)
You will need to use our registration link to create your account. You may get a warning when you try to access the registration page. Select "Ignore" and fill out the form. You may get a blank page after you create your account. Your credentials will still work when you go to https://www.nytimes.com. The digital version of the New York Times, a well-known newspaper. Use the library's link to register for a personal account. Read articles, view images, interact with datasets, and listed to podcasts. Recipes and games are not included in our subscription.

American Immigration Council
A national think tank/policy center that works on the development of immigration policy.
International Committee of the Red Cross
Operates worldwide to help people affected by conflict and armed violence. You'll find more about their work and international law.
Doctors without Borders
Also known as Medecins sans Frontieres, this organization delivers emergency medical aid to people displayed from their homes and/or countries.
International Organization for Migration
An inter-governmental organization that works to promote humane and orderly migration. Explore here for information on their work as well as migration policy and research.
Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition
MIRA promotes the rights and integration of immigrants and refugees in New England. Explore here to see what work is being done locally on this topic.
