This guide is designed to provide a resource for MCPHS students, faculty and staff hoping to improve their skills using Microsoft Office, and specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It includes links to training and documentation freely available online with materials relevant both to users of the full Office Desktop apps and the Microsoft 365 apps available from office.com.
All students, faculty, and staff at MCPHS have access to the complete Microsoft Office 365 suite of products. More information is available from Information Services' Office 365 page. MCPHS users who want to download the full apps to their devices can follow the instruction outlined in this article at MCPHS Service Now.
This guide has pages for each of the four apps listed above and each page briefly covers learning resources available for each, first for the desktop version and then for the web version.
The intent of this guide is to be both a quick reference for specific questions about these apps and a starting point for those hoping to find more in-depth training.
While most of the resources cataloged on this guide are free to anyone with an internet connection, we are also including links to several LinkedIn Learning courses. While LinkedIn Learning is not technically a free service, it is available for free to anyone currently residing in Massachusetts with a free Boston Public Library eCard account. These accounts can be set up online through the BPL’s website. Once you have your eCard, you can then use it to access LinkedIn Learning through the BPL LinkedIn Learning login page.
