PointSolutions (formerly TurningPoint) Audience Response Systems

Logging in

Due to MCPHS's new site license with PointSolutions, all faculty and students now have accounts they can access free of charge via single sign-on. If you previously had a TurningPoint/PointSolutions instructor account, the next time you go to access your account you will simply be redirected to MCPHS's single sign-on where you will be asked to log in with your standard MCPHS credentials. Otherwise, nothing will have changed to your account. All your settings and associated Blackboard courses should still be the same.

Faculty who are new to PointSolutions should follow the process outlined below when they log in for the first time:

  1. Log in to Blackboard with Google Chrome (Firefox is not supported by PointSolutions).
  2. Navigate to a course you are teaching.
  3. (Note: The next two steps depend on what version of Blackboard your course is available in.) For classes in Blackboard Learn:
    1. Select “Tools” from the side navigation on your course,.Blackboard Course Page with tools link circled
    2. Then from the “Tools” page, find and select the link labeled “Turning Account Registration.”

Adding a class from Blackboard to your account

For your PointSolutions polls to receive credit in your classes, you need to add your Blackboard classes to your account. You can do this by taking the following steps:

  1. Log-in to your PointSolutions instructor account via Blackboard or at https://instructor.turningtechnologies.com using your MCPHS credentials.
  2. When you log in, you will see a screen like the one below. If you have any active courses in PointSolutions, this is where they will display. To add a new one, select the “Blackboard” tab at the top left.
