Boston Study Spaces Guide

Find the type of space that meets your current studying needs.

These spaces are good for studying & socializing. Food is allowed here!

White Basement Study Lounge (WB21)

The table seating is about 50% cushioned bench-style seating.  This 24 hour space is best suited to group study work and individual computer use, although it can be used for individual study, as well.

White Hall Foyer (3rd floor)

Just outside of White Hall are 8 round study tables, also available 24 hours.

Matricaria Lobby

This 24 hour space has a number of seating options but can get noisy when other members of the campus community are moving through it.

Fennell 1st Floor Student Lounge

Open 24 hours and generally a social area during the day, this space can be used for study if you are comfortable with a lot of background noise.  Also, the TV is usually on.  There is a microwave and it is a good place to study or socialize and eat. It is quieter during the evening, if events are not scheduled there.

Fennel Atrium

The atrium of the Fennel Building has a number of tables and chairs that are available 24/7 for students to use. The space is generally noisy during the day, but quiets down later at night.

Fennel 2nd Floor Atrium Balconies

Overlooking the atrium are two balconies on the second floor, with seating and electrical outlets. Great for people watching, but with similar noise concerns to the atrium.

Griffin Building Lobby

Located just as you enter the Griffin Building, this space offers a variety of seating options and access to technology including desktop computers and printers.

Mass Art/MCPHS Dining Commons

Regular Hours:  7 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Daily
