News Alerts Tools

Tools like these make it easier for you to stay current on what's being published in your field and what's happening in higher education. Other tools like Twitter or Feedly might be useful to you as well.

Table of Contents Alerts

On the websites of most academic journals there's an option to sign up for an email alert, RSS feed, or to follow the journal via social media. Look for these options (and/or their icons) in a utility location - try on the right-hand side of the page, towards the top.


Chronicle of Higher Education

Use your MCPHS email address to create a personal account and get full access to the Chronicle of Higher Education by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Chronicle of Higher Education
  2. Log In and Create a Free Account.
  3. Register using your MCPHS email address.
  4. Follow the prompts in the confirmation email you receive to finish registering.
  5. Once you're ready, use Newsletters to select the types of email alerts you'd like to receive to stay current on news in higher education.

BrowZine

An app/mobile friendly site where you can browse, read and stay current on journals of choice (from the MCPHS collection). For details on how to set up and use it, explore our Guide to BrowZine.


IFTTT: If This Then That

A great tool that connects & automatics actions between online resources in your life. To use it:

  1. Head over to IFTTT
  2. Set up an account.
  3. Explore the recipe options, and select the options that work best for you.
